"It is the design of the writer of this little work to blend amusement with instruction, and it is his earnest wish that he may in some degree succeed in accomplishing this object. Every page of matter has its corresponding illustration, so that while the eye of the child is pleased with the numerous pictures in the book, an interest will naturally be awakened in the mind as to what may be said in relation to each representation.
